“I wanted to let you know that I am impressed with the way you run CE. Everything has been organized, the communication has been great, coaching has been awesome. My daughter said she likes learning from multiple coaches. She's equally impressed with this organization & is very excited to train and play this season. We're proud to be part of CE."

  • Where is the program based?
We have athletes from all over the Central Texas area ranging as far up as Waco on down to New Braunfels. Our current team members are spread between Waco, Belton, Killeen, Austin, Round Rock, Pflugerville, Bastrop and New Braunfels. Our typical gym spaces range from East Austin to Georgetown, Pflugerville and Round Rock.
  • What is Competitive Edge?
Competitive Edge, known as CE, is an AAU program serving young girls in 3rd grade-high school. Here at CE, we place a strong emphasis on making sure our kids are not only better players but also better students and, more importantly, better people. CE is a full-service program offering teams, training, mentorship, as well as, sports performance training.
  • What is included with the season fee?
Tournaments, practices, coaches fee, uniform rental, and sports performance training.
  • Is it mandatory to attend all scheduled tournaments?
We know that things come up and there may be one or two tournaments you can’t make. However, we do expect players to be at all tournaments and to communicate with the director on any special circumstances.
  • Do you offer teams of all skill levels?
Yes. The majority of our ages have two teams. If we have enough players to fill a team that we believe will be able to compete and placed in an environment to help their success, we will form a team. If not. we will offer other services for them.
  • Do the tournaments always run for two days or do you only play second if you win the first day? Are there typically multiple games each day of the tournaments?
It usually depends on the age of the girls. Most tournaments for 5th/6th-grade and sometimes 7th-grade kids will play one-day tournaments. Most tournaments for 8th-grade and high school kids will play in will be two days. There are some directors who will do one-day tournaments for high school kids but the majority are two days. If it is a two-day tournament you will normally play 1-2 games each day. If it is a one-day tournament it is normally 3 games in one day.
  • Where are the tournaments?
The location of the tournaments will depend on the team. All tournaments will be announced at the beginning of the season before you commit to a team. - Local/select are mainly played in the Austin area. - Regional teams are normally played in the Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, Houston area. - National teams are played in and out of state.
  • Will you hand out the rosters for the teams and typically when does that take place?
Teams are typically announced via email within 1-2 weeks of tryouts.
  • How many practices will be held each week and where?
In the fall and winter, we typically have one practice a week. In the spring/summer, we typically practice twice a week.
  • What is the refund policy for the program?
Once a commitment to play has been made, we will not offer refunds. If there are extenuating circumstances (i.e. a player gets injured at the beginning of the season, etc) we will work out some type of partial refund.
  • Do you offer one on one skills training?
Yes, we also offer group training sessions. Our individual and group training sessions are led by our coaching staff.

    - Fall Season runs September through October. - Winter Season runs December through January. - Spring/Summer Season runs March-June (July for high school)
  • Can I play on multiple teams?
